How OTS Auto handles your personal information
This notice explains how OTS Auto, a division of OTS Consulting ("we", "us"), processes personal information in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect and why
- Enquiry details (name, surname, cell number, email, vehicle of interest, employment status, instalment budget, timeline): to respond to your enquiry and match you with suitable vehicles and finance providers.
- Finance application documents (ID, driver's licence, payslips, bank statements), collected only once you choose to proceed: to prepare and submit your finance application to a bank or registered credit provider on your instruction.
- Website and advertising data (pages visited, the advert that brought you here, cookies for analytics and advertising): to measure and improve our advertising. These cookies are only set if you accept them.
Lawful basis
We process enquiry details because it is necessary to take steps at your request before concluding a vehicle sale and finance agreement, and because you have acknowledged this notice. We process application documents on your instruction. We send promotional messages only with your separate, optional opt-in, which you can withdraw at any time by replying STOP or contacting us.
Who we share it with
Banks and registered credit providers you ask us to apply to; our Google Workspace tools (Google Sheets and Google Drive, hosted by Google) used to manage enquiries and store documents under restricted access; and Meta and Google advertising platforms, which receive only limited, hashed contact identifiers and event data (never your ID number, income, documents or credit information) and only where you have accepted advertising cookies.
Security
Documents are uploaded over an encrypted connection through an expiring, single-applicant link and stored in a restricted folder accessible only to authorised OTS Auto staff. We never publish customer documents or share them through public links.
Retention
Enquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after your last contact with us. Application documents are deleted within 90 days of a declined or abandoned application, or as required by law and the finance provider after a completed sale. You may ask us to delete your documents sooner.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, object to processing, and withdraw marketing consent. Contact us at . You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
Essential cookies are used to remember your choices. Analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Meta Pixel) cookies are set only after you click "Accept" on the cookie notice. You can clear your choice by deleting site data in your browser.
